delayed happiness

it was almost like a delayed happiness.

i saw it all happening before my eyes.
i even touched it with my hands.
i could see the beauty and taste the joy.
but not until the next day, something to enjoy.

it was almost like a delayed happiness.
oh but im not complaining i promise.
because youll be jealous
someday, when your heart is anxious.

and im in love with my youthful vison
that leaves me hanging on
to cups of coffee in the morning
while im laughing cause youre withdrawn

and its always been your choice
nothing has been influenced by this here voice.

and youll just go on sitting pretty
but i know you miss me.
