the sun is my lover

the sun is my lover
holding me close with its warm touch
but sometimes its nails do cut in
and the heat is too much
i just need to cool down
and find me some quiet space
at my friend the winds house
cool air always inhabits his place
but eventually i always break
and come running back to my solar love
she commands the sky and earth above
there’s nothing more beautiful than her setting rays
reflecting off the passing coulds
blown by my good friend the wind
when she is gone i have nothing left
the air is far too cold for me to smile.
wind cannot comfort me the way she does
i miss her most when the rain comes
