Meet Danny
From the time he was very small, Danny showed a special talent and passion for music. A singer from the start, Danny wouldn’t stop humming to eat his cereal in the morning. He learned to play the piano, and then the saxophone. In his teenage years, he discovered the acoustic guitar and began songwriting.

“Silent Cry”
Danny used music to express his hopes and joys as well as his fears and sorrows, sometimes juxtaposed in the same song. One of Danny’s songs “Silent Cry” was written shortly after the Tsunami of December 2004 and his pathology report which occurred within a day of it. It tells of pain but speaks of hope, which symbolized Danny’s life. Before Danny’s second brain surgery, we recorded Dannys singing and playing his guitar to it, accompanied by a bass player.

A Thank You from Danny
when i speak these words my tongue gets tied and my knees buckle.
you’re oh so kind! where can a tribute begin to commend you for all
the troubles and thoughts you’ve spent on such a distant cause and for my sake,
ill always remember and always take,
you with me in my heart.
In 2004 Danny performed The Beatles’ “In My Life” with Jack Johnson for his grandmother Betty Baker’s celebration of life ceremony. This song was remastered years later and became the perfect backdrop for the wedding of Danny’s sister Alicia, proving the perfect soundtrack for her dance with their father Frank Riley.
